Continuing Through the Slow Seasons

If you've ever started something you truly love, you've probably experienced it—the slow season.

The days when orders don't come in. The markets that don't go as planned. The social media post that barely reaches anyone. The moments when you quietly wonder, "Lord, am I really supposed to keep doing this?"

As a small business owner, it can be easy to measure success by sales, followers, or how busy your calendar is. But God often measures success differently. He looks at our faithfulness.

There have been moments when I've poured my heart into baking, carefully packaged every cookie, prayed over each order, and still found myself wondering why things weren't moving faster. Those moments can be discouraging if we let our circumstances become louder than God's promises.

The truth is, every season has a purpose.

Just as a seed spends time hidden beneath the soil before anyone sees growth, God often does His greatest work in the unseen seasons. He's strengthening our character, refining our patience, teaching us perseverance, and preparing us for blessings we can't yet imagine.

The slow season isn't wasted.

It's where we learn to trust instead of strive. It's where we choose obedience over instant results. It's where our faith grows deeper than our feelings.

Galatians 6:9 reminds us:

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

That verse has become a quiet reminder for me. Not if the harvest comes on my timeline, but at the proper time—God's time.

So today, if your business feels quiet...If you're waiting for customers...If you're wondering whether anyone notices your hard work...

Keep showing up.

Keep creating with excellence. Keep serving others with kindness. Keep trusting the One who called you.

Every loaf baked, every cookie decorated, every encouraging conversation with a customer is an opportunity to glorify Him.
